My name is Senad Dizdarevic. I was born in Bosnia, March 10, 1967. My father, Smail Dizdarevic started his carpentry business in 1955. My two older brothers worked with my father after they finished school. In 1986, after finishing high school of construction engineering, I joined my father and two brothers in father’s company and worked there until 1992 when the war started in Bosnia.

Because of the war in 1994, I fled Bosnia and went to Germany with my family. I worked in a big company in Aachen, Germany for all ot he four years I lived there.

In July 1998, my wife, son, daughter (born in Germany), and I arrived to Waterloo, Iowa.I got a job in the Trost Design construction company where I worked for 3 years. After that I worked at Prairie Cabinet Company as a foreman for two years.
